Dear Sir or Madam

My name is Mohammad Nurul Azim Bhuiyan, and I am writing this letter to express my sincere interest in Master’s Programme in Embedded Systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. I enjoyed learning about your programme through the official website of the university, and I have been very impressed with the opportunities that would be offered to me within your programme.

School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at KTH has everything that I am looking for in a graduate school. The appealing components consist of education and research opportunities in many modernized areas, contemporary and easily accessible facilities, ample student accommodations and excellent international environment. Association between education, research and industry has created unique surroundings for education in KTH and opens opportunities for the students to connect industry with study. These elements are essential to perfecting the practical experiences and generating a didactic personality.

I currently hold my Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), having graduated from the School of Engineering and Computer Science (SECS) of IUB with a CGPA of 2.65.

I developed an interest in engineering and technology during my high school, where I learned a great deal about the science and technology. This convinced me to further my undergraduate study at IUB, allowing me to learn many different subjects including physics, mathematics, electronics, programming concepts and digital signal processing.

In addition to my demonstrated skills in electrical engineering, I also spent six months as an intern in Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO). During my time as an intern, I learned about the power distribution systems with a major concentration in system protection and uses of switchgear devices in distribution substations. As a result of my internship programme, I was able to submit a report titled “Study on System Protections and Uses of Switchgear Devices in DESCO” to my internship supervisor Dr. A K M Baki.

Additionally, over the past four years, I have been active in SECS at IUB where I have served as a class leader, instructed and coordinated lab classes as a Teacher’s Assistant (TA) and contributed in many voluntary duties organized by different student organizations. Being an active member of IEEE IUB Student Branch and Club of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS), I got many opportunities to participate in organizing many cultural programs, seminars, workshops and industrial tours.

Based upon my education, experience and my research of your programme, I am confident that I am an excellent fit for the Master’s Programme in Embedded Systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. I am a hard worker with great time management skills, have real life field experience and demonstrate dedication to science and technology. If given the opportunity, I will work hard and stretch myself to contribute to the development of science and technology. I look forward to the opportunity to visit your institution. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Mohammad Nurul Azim Bhuiyan
