Vocabulary

Hi, I have a few rather confusing headlines; the meaning of a word is interlinked with the others' , so looking up one at a time won't work:

1.TORIES BACK PITS AXE.
2.PEACE TALKS HEAD FOR SPLIT.
3.NUCLEAR SCARE RIDDLE.
4.GO-AHEAD FOR SCHOOLS PROBE
5.PRINCESS TO RE-WED PUZZLE.(puzzle=?)
6. DEATH TOLL RISES IN DISCO BLAZE( disco blaze= a fire?)

I would want to know what these mean exactly.
