Is this sentence grammatical??I tried to disguise my taste for spicy food , but I can't hold back my craving for it the moment I see it.

The sentence is correct except for the space before the comma, which should be deleted. However, you may want to check the tense combination "tried ... can't" and be sure that's what you mean.

Can I use " disguise my taste for" in this situation? Is the preposition for correct?

It's correct English, as I said. Whether it correctly expresses what you want to say is impossible to know without more context, of course. "I tried to disguise my taste for spicy food" means that you acted so as to try to prevent other people from knowing or realising that you liked spicy food.
