How do we use shall? A-Stars' answer is correct. We also often use it for the first-person suggestion: Shall we go now? Shall I open that for you?

You don't really have to use it at all. In American English, for example, it has all but disappeared from the lexicon. For most learners it's enough to know passively a few uses such as have already been mentioned earlier in this thread, and the fact that in many other cases you might find, it simply means 'will'.
