Hello all,

1) A- Niagara falls is in Canada, and many people speak French in Canada. B-how 'd you know them?

2) A-Look what I have here. B-where'd you get that from?

Would is used for past and sometimes for future and with conditionals but there it seems wierd to me.I am really confused about why 'would' was used that way above. Please explain to me.
