Hello all, While I was watching a movi someone in the movie said 'are you going to China?' to someone who was digging. Why did they use it? Does it carry another meaning?

In lore, if you dig deep enough, you go straight through the earth and come out on the other side of the globe, in China. Everything is upside-down there, too. It's only a silly fancy, nothing more.
