I've heard this before -- it sort of oddly implies that the alternative is to actually use surgery to transmit ideas -- as far as I know, that's not (yet) possible

I think, in retrospect, that I should have called it a "clever" motto rather than a "good" one.

Are you sure it's not a sentence from a science fiction novel?

I was thinking in these terms as well, and I thought there might be a way to pull in the idea of a data download. I ultimately rejected the idea as too wordy, but maybe someone else is willing to take up the challenge (even though it still has the problem that it's just another alternative that is not yet possible.)

The closest I've heard to this idea of connecting brains, and the most humorous, was in a British sit-com. A woman enters dressed in the most ridiculous outfit you can imagine. One of the men remarks, "I'm glad I haven't got your nerve in my tooth".

(Maybe you had to be there.)
