Most of us would just say, "The gardener mowed the lawn". Anybody who said "The lawn was mown by the gardener with a mower" would receive some very strange looks.

Most of us would just say, "The gardener mowed the lawn".

Anybody who said "The lawn was mown by the gardener with a mower" would receive some very strange looks.
