(Modern) seeks to find new forms of expression and rejects traditional
or accepted ideas. I'm asked to complete this sentence by adding the correct suffix to the word in the bracket. I am thinking of making it "modernization", am I correct or which is the correct one... Please help...

Hi, Are you sure you can't just add another word, eg modern art ? That would make more sense. Clive

No not a word but a suffix to complete the sentence. Would modernization be correct or which is the correct one for this sentence: (modern) seeks to find new forms of expression and rejects traditional or accepted forms.

I'm not so sure about modernization. These are possible:

Modernism seeks to find new forms of expression and rejects traditional
or accepted ideas.

Modernists seek to find new forms of expression and rejects traditional
or accepted ideas.

Still, I think Clive's suggestion works better.

A dictionary would be more effective than I would.
