I´d like to make a question. I´m not sure about the use of the word "far". Does it need to be always followed by the preposition "from"? For example, if I say: Do you live far or near the beach? Is it wrong? Or I should say: Do you live far from or near the beach? I know that if I put the word "far" before "beach" I need to use the preposition, but if I put it before, do I need it? Thank you in advance.
