'To' or 'of', and they are synonymous, but neither is natural. The natural is with the indirect object: "I want to ask Mr X a question.'

Thanks for reply. Your sentence seems more professional. But I couldn't get it completely.

If i say that "I want to ask a question from Mr. XYZ" OR "I want to ask a question to Mr. XYZ" .

Is either of the sentence incorrect or sounds odd ?

'From' is impossible; 'to' is non-native.
