Within & in

Within is more similar to inside than it is to in. They could probably be used interchangeably in most contexts, but within is used less often, at least in the U.S.

As I know, "within" emphasizes that an action will last no longer than some fixed time.

I will give you an answer within two weeks (i.e. in two weeks at the latest).
