Role of the infinitive without "to" in the sentence below
"Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred."
At first glance, this is difficult to analyze, but it seems to have the same structure as does the far more simple:
"Don't make me laugh."
Each has a pronoun that is the direct object and each has an objective compliment that is an infinitive without "to." In the first instance there are two infinitives--"seek" without "to" and "to satisfy" with the "to.."
Here the assertion is made by the infinitives, and we know that infinitives are incapable of making assertions.

In answer to your questions, the infinitives you cite do not make assertions. In my post, I should have said the infinitives that I cited seem to make assertions. In fact, they do not.
They serve as objective complements of "us" and "me."
In the examples you cite, the finite verbs "look" and "made" carry the freight. They make it go.
