Peer to peer networking

. P2P networking represents a potential revolution in the way information is distributed, but the mighty media corporations are taking legal action against companies who write P2P software and also against people who use it.
. Do people have the right to share information using P2P networks, or should they be prosecuted?

Record companies will get no love until:

a) They increase the ARTIST'S percentage of profit.
b) They stop being money hungry fools who couldn't care less about music to start with.

Let's not forget that the benefits of P2P are far greater than free music alone. P2P gives anyone using the software the ability to access ANY volunteered information on ANY participating computer directly.
The ramifications are mind bogglingly liberating. True freedom of information, or close to it!

Well spoken! I'm just waiting to see how they're going to "lock down" the net.

Btw: I was reading about them sueing some 66 yr old guy for sharing thousands of mp3s. They eventually realised he didn't even know how to use a computer. Pathetic pathetic people.
