what's correct when stating dates on a letter?

October 6, 7 and 8th or
October 6, 7 and 8, or
October 6th -8th

If this is in the body part of your letter, I would use:
October 6th - 8th

Or use, "..october the 6th-8th, 17th and 21st" (Don't remove the 'end part' though!)
