There are some ideas of what kind of projects can be used in a challenging way in class, I repeat, keeping the rules above.
Tourism
This topic seems to be showing interest to many students of different ages. We can present short videos showing Spain, London , the Croatian seaside, etc. and ask students to comment it while watching the pictures as if was a tourist guide video. We can use photos of different tourist attractions and ask them to come up with a complete text for a brochure. We can make our own photo album (see below) or use magazines, brochures with photos about different hotels, motels, apartment houses, the surroundings, rural tourism, facilities, etc. and ask them to prepare a presentation as a travel agent for a tour operator. We can give them a task of preparing a convincing oral presentation about a video as if you were a potential customer and he or she were a travel agent We can use a video CD or videotape, the student stopping the picture time by time and speaking about what is on the screen playing again the role of a travel agent.
I wanted to present some ideas, teachers can use their imagination to create new ideas about this topic in class
