I suffer horribly from stagefright. It is really not unusual at all. Many people hate and fear public speaking. I once read a survey/poll wherein people were asked about it and a high percentage of people said that they would rather be DEAD than have to give a public speech.
It is 04:07 here on the east coast of the USA. I am waking with coffee. Sunrise will be in about 3 hours.

In my other post to you I said:
"When it appears that I am looking around at the roomful of people I am really only letting my eyes roam around above their heads. NOT looking at them."
I really dread public speaking and performing so I am not the best person to advise anyone about it. I have, though, enjoyed some musical performances with a darkened audience. With the room lights off and only the stage lights on the audience is only perceived as waves of sound and camera strobe lights flashing. It is sort of dreamy, really.
