Help identifying Faulty Parallelism

Hi, i have a couple of questions regarding sentences consisting of faulty parallelism...

I need to re-write these sentences paying particular attention to unparallel coordiante elements! Thanks for your help in advance

1. I just know the party will either be a big success or a total failure.

2. Both hearing the judge's tone of voice and the look on his face made me nervous.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Matt, Can you identify the elements in each of these sentences that seem like they are parallel? Are you able to take a try at this exercise yourself, and post some sentences that we can then give you comments on? Best wishes, Clive

Hint on #1: What comes after "either" should have two parallel parts with the "or" between them.
