Depends what it's being used for Maj.

Could is asking with politeness. Would is less polite and a little demanding... Both are right and it depends on the person you ask

It is not quite as clear cut as that and don't worry Ruslana, it is certainly not impolite to say 'would'.

Would you mind...? is perfectly correct and polite. Would/could are not always interchangeable and you couldn't use would in that sentence. (see, my saying you wouldn't use could in that sentence has a slightly different meaning too).

Which you use depends on the meaning you want.

"Could you tell me the truth?" means "Are you able to tell me the truth?" or "Do you know how to tell me the truth?"

"Would you tell me the truth?" means "Are you willing to tell me the truth?" or "Do you want to tell me the truth?"
