Block those gutters! A fire is coming!

Can anyone concisely improve this sentence? "I'm blocking the roof gutters with tennis balls so that I can fill them up with water if a bushfire comes."

Thanks.

Hi Hitchhiker,

Doesn't the sentence have a comma splice?.
