bad expression
I am not really good with expression and often change tenses in my essays and when I try to use a thesaurus to try and use a better word it often doesn't turn out good and the sentences don't seem to flow. Is there any ways or exercises which can help me improve in my expression?

It seems to me that you should check the verb forms in your essays more carefully, and use your dictionary along with your thesaurus: that is the primary solution. The rest comes with increasingly fluency.
