Advice for a teacher moving to Spain

I'm moving to southern Spain in Sept/Oct for an EFL job. Can anyone offer me any advice on finding accommodation that fits within my limited EFL income?

I am also interested in chatting to any other teachers either already working in Spain or who will be heading that way at the end of the summer to find out about their experiences etc.

I am glad to hear that you are moving to Spain and if you go to the South I am pretty sure you'll have lots of fun. It would be a lot easier for me to give you some advice if I knew exactly where you are going to be living. As far as accomodation is concerned I'd would advise you to book a room in a " pension" and then I 'd suggest you go to the nearest University or " escuela oficial de idiomes" and have a look at the accomodation noticeboards.

Thanks for the response and the advice about accommodation. I'm going to Malaga to teach in a school in the town centre, but it's difficult trying to find a decent shared apartment/house on EFL wages as everything seems to be pretty pricey because of the location. So I'm trying to find out which are the cheaper areas outside Malaga that still have decent transport to the centre. If anyone knows,
