Hi,

I am so behind on doing my laundry.

Why is "on' needed in the sentence? Can I cross it out? A preposition is commonly used here. It could be on, in, with. It sounds a little odd to me if there is no preposition at all.

Best wishes, Clive

It sounds a little odd to me if there is no preposition at all. It'd sound a bit less odd if you put a comma after 'behind'.
